Acupressure is the Chinese healing art of restoring balance to Chi (lifeforce energy) to optimize health. In this introduction to Acupressure course, you will learn more than the fundamentals. You will learn potent points and Acupressure sequences for your clients' most common complaints. On Day 2 for Yin Complaints, you will learn point locations and functions to address: low backache and sciatica, fatigue, weak immunity, depressed energy, menstrual irregularity, and anxiety. You will learn Chinese massage techniques to activate points, and Jin Shin Acupressure, a powerful technique that is gentle on your body but works deeply on your clients. Throughout the class, you will have the opportunity to cultivate self-care by using these Acupressure sequences on yourself, as well as to practice on others.
This class satisfies the prerequisite for the Integrate Chinese Medicine into Massage Therapy Certification Program.
If you are interested in the ICMMT Certification Program, but have not fulfilled the prerequisite requirement, you may take the following two classes and decide afterwards to transfer into the certification program. These classes can also be used as regular stand-alone CE classes as well.
