What do I do for food and/or lodging?
Each of the locations, listed below, indicate nearby food and lodging options. These do not reflect all choices. If you use a restaurant or motel/hotel not listed and have a good experience, please let us know.
Where are the classroom locations?
Currently, all classes are held in Seattle, WA and Post Falls, ID -- although infrequently, we have classes in Bellingham, WA. Seattle classrooms are rentals and mostly within a 4 mile radius of the Northgate Mall area. Classes located in Post Falls, are located at the American Institute of Clinical Massage.
Classroom assignments can be found in each class description. Classes are generally assigned months in advance, but sometimes based on the level of registrations and availability, it might take longer to post a classroom location. Please call us at 206.853.6875 or email us at info@theratraining.com if it's getting close to the class date and a location isn't assigned and you have concerns about where class is.
Below are the current classrooms being used, each indicates address, directions and provides options for food and lodging. When classroom locations are posted on a class' detailed description page, the page will have the location number listed which is a link to the location detail. Just click on the location link and it will take you to the specific location detail for that class. If the location says "Seattle TBD" in the class description, the location has not been assigned yet.
Seattle -- TBD: This classroom is not assigned yet. More than likely this class will be north of the Seattle downtown area, but south of 145th St.
Seattle Location 1: Therapeutic Training Center - 929 N 130th St Ste 12; Seattle, WA 98133
This classroom is in the "Bitter Lake Center", on the second floor. Parking is free and in the upper parking lot. As you enter the street level parking lot, follow the parking lot to the left and drive all the way through the parking lot to the ramp leading up to the upper level parking (on top of the CarToys building). Please do not park in the street level lot. There is a refrigerator and water -- please keep your fluids in spill-proof containers. There is a large sign in front of the building along the street that says "Bitter Lake Center". CarToys is on the SW corner of 130th and Aurora Ave and the classroom is in the building to the west of it. The Bitter Lake Center is 1/2 a block away from the Interurban trail and 1/2 a block away from the park at Bitter Lake (an actual lake/pond) which is walkable during lunch.
As a side note, please drive around the block to enter the parking lot from the east-bound side of N 130th st. Turning on to N 130th St from Aurora Ave and having to cross opposing traffic to get into the parking lot can be dangerous, plus you would have to cross two sets of double yellow lines.

There is free parking on the street. The building is in a residential section and is a two story house with multiple tenants. The entrance way to the house is a set of concrete stairs to the right of row of shrubs/bushes bordering the property on the S Main St side--the shrubs/bushes block your vision of the lower portion of the house. There will be a orange construction cone at the base of the stairs indicating the entrance way. Go up the short set of stairs and turn left. Up the porch steps are four doors, the entrance to Instructor's is the 2nd from the left. There will be a sign on the door and the door will be open. This is the entrance to the classroom. We are using Zoom as the platform for our webinars at this time. This will allow you to see the instructor and any powerpoint or other documents that the instructor might share throughout the webinar. Participants are required to participate for credit by asking questions or making comments at appropriate times during the class.
The night before the webinar, I will email everyone the meeting ID and password. We will have a waiting room for the webinar and we encourage people to log into the webinar up to 15 minutes early and hang out in the waiting room to ensure you connect in time for the webinar.
When the webinar starts, the instructor will mute all participants sound to eliminate any background noise that might exist. When you want to speak, there is a "raise your hand" button at the bottom of your screen, just click on that and the instructor will unmute you to speak. When you're done speaking, you will go back on mute again. An hour before the end of the webinar, I will email everyone a surveymonkey class evaluation so when the class ends, please fill it out immediately. When I see that you've done so (I can see who has completed, but not what you answer), I will email you your certificate. If you do not have a certificate within 24 hours of completing your surveymonkey evaluation, please let me know.

Accessing Zoom:
There are several different ways to do this.
Well before the webinar begins, if you want to check out your hardware and connection to make sure it all works, you can go to http://zoom.us/test and join a test webinar to make sure everything is working the way it should -- the instructions are at: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115002262083-Joining-a-test-meeting if you any questions.
This is pretty easy software, once you click on "join a meeting" and enter you meeting ID and password, you should be able to enter without issues and once the webinar starts the instructor will walk you through the controls. If you are a technophobe, or are just having problems either understanding our instructions or something isn't working, contact me and I can set up a test meeting with the two of us and see what we can do to make things work correctly. The other option is to take a look at the tutorials on the zoom website, they are quite useful and they have something for just about everything.
