The shoulder allows us wonderful mobility but in the process gets injured and out of balance structurally on a regular basis. The rotator cuff tendons take the brunt of this mobility and can be treated with quite some success with specificity and structural reorganization. This eight-hour class covers the basic anatomy, assessments, palpations, structural assessments and myofascial techniques necessary to delve into most shoulder injuries. Specific content includes:

  • Specific anatomy including the bony structures, joint capsule, labrum, rotator cuff and the larger structural muscles.
  • Assessment techniques for frozen shoulder, bursitis and rotator cuff injuries.
  • Specific palpation and friction techniques for the individual rotator cuff tendons and AC joint ligaments.
  • Myofascial work for the shoulder girdle looking at the alignment and function of the humerus, scapula, ribcage and clavicle.
  • Discussion of the most common injury syndromes and their treatment.
What to Bring: Set of sheets; face cradle cover; pillow or bolster; wear loose clothing
