This class is designed to help therapists indentify several musculoskeletal conditions that runners commonly develop. All of your active clients benefit from the soft tissue assessment and treatment skills you gain with this class. Upon completion of this class you will be able to:
- Improved overall body mechanics and individual stroke mechanics for effleurage, petrissage, friction, and ROM/stretch.
- Perform several soft tissue assessment tests that help identify the focus areas for massage, including Ober's, Nobel's compression, Morton's neuroma, and several muscle length tests.
- Apply an effective combination of M.E.T., deep Swedish, site specific and broad plane myofascial techniques to address the above conditions and more.
What to Bring: Set of sheets; face cradle cover, pillow or bolster; Wear shorts and loose fitting clothes.
