The foot and lower leg "understand" our entire structure. Explore this region in depth, and see how it interacts with the whole system. Learn how the joints and soft tissues are meant to function and how to identify and solve common problems. For example: learn how balance in the calcaneus and sub-talar joint is a prerequisite for resolving sacro-illiac joint issues.
Each class of the Kinesis Body3 series is a short, intensive course limited to a specific region and heavy on soft-tissue technique. Every course focuses on 15-20 techniques, which can be applied as needed for different patterns in your clients. Our emphasis is on the principles underlying each move and assessing the client to determine which techniques are appropriate. Handouts for the class will include a copy of the related essay from Tom Myers' Body3 book.
Prerequisite: this class is only open to manual therapists (LMP, PT, OT, etc). Previously having taken the Anatomy Trains course is recommended but not required.
What to Bring: Set of sheets; face cradle cover; pillow or bolster; wear comfortable clothes (underwear or bathing suit appropriate for body reading and work around the pelvis); anatomy atlas.
